Church Services

Leading Church services is how the puppet group started and it still forms an important part of the puppet groups outreach activities. The use of puppets to convey a Christian message is a powerful tool that is suitable for all ages from the youngest members of the crèche to the oldest members of the Church.
The use of the puppets during a service is an ideal way to encourage families into Church, maybe as
part of an outreach event the church is organising. It can also encourage your church members to
invite their families and friends to Church.

Each year, we put together a theme for an all age service using puppetry which is linked to a talk and other creative elements during the service. We use this service throughout the year as we receive bookings, so it is not normally possible to do a service on a specific theme. As part of the planning and discussions with the host Church we give the Church the opportunity to select the hymns or songs to link to the theme and include any specific parts of the Church’s normal service, that they require.

If you have a weekday group, we also put on presentations on the Christmas and Easter stories in the weeks leading up to these events.
